About Us
Geronimo’s, Ltd., Nantucket’s pet supply and gift shop, opened in May, 1991, by Jan Jaeger. Named after her Chesapeake Bay Retriever, "Geronimo", Jan opened the shop when she discovered there were no sources for pet products on-island.
In January 2017, long time employees of over 10 years each, Maggie Carro & Martina Mladenova, made the leap to take on ownership of both Geronimo's and Cold Noses.
You will often see Maggie and Martina out in the community walking their dogs. Maggie is the proud owner of Thor, the husky, and Leo the cat. Martina is the proud owner of three rescue dogs, George, Eme & Shylo and KiKi the cat.
Over the years, Geronimo’s has become a fixture of the Nantucket retail scene, a dependable resource for those beloved companion animals and a must-stop location for anyone visiting the island. We bring to Geronimo’s a comprehensive mix of both the practical standards as well as the latest trends in pet supplies and pet-themed gifts for people.
Geronimo’s is located at 119 Pleasant Street in the mid-Island area across the street from Cape Cod 5 Bank and next door to the new Stop & Shop (see map). Cold Noses has been a member of our Geronimo’s family since 2009. The downtown pet boutique on Straight Wharf for over 25 years, Cold Noses is famous for signature exclusive Nantucket-themed collars, leashes and distinctive pet accessories. We strive to offer the unique gift or Nantucket keepsake for your pet or pet owner.
